Working in Canada now lets you study too: short courses allowed without a study permit

A temporary policy started on 4 September 2026. It lets people who hold a valid work permit study for 6 months or less, or until their work permit ends, whichever comes first. The earlier version of this policy only covered workers whose permit application had reached the department on or before 7 June 2023.
Effective from 4 September 2026.
