United Kingdom: Skilled Worker holders recognised as modern slavery victims will be able to work in any job

Skilled Worker visa holders can normally only do the job their sponsor hired them for. New immigration rules, laid on 3 September 2026, lift that limit for people recognised as victims of modern slavery by the Home Office officials who decide those cases. From 8 October 2026, they will be able to work for any employer until their current permission to stay expires.
Takes effect 2026-10-08.
