Denmark proposed limiting residence permits for Ukrainian men aged 23 to 60

On 25 June 2026 a bill was put forward to change Denmark's special law for people displaced from Ukraine. If it passes, men aged 23 to 60 would only get a permit if they can show they are exempt from military service. The page says the change would cover applications filed on or after 25 June 2026.
