IRCC had added a requirement that applicants for work permits under the reciprocal employment category be current employees of a company outside Canada. IRCC has now cancelled that requirement, so applicants no longer need to prove they are already employed abroad. This affects people applying from outside Canada for exchange-type and intra-company style reciprocal work permits.
